The Paravani hydropower plant opened in Samtskhe-Javakheti on 11 October 2014. It was built by Turkey’s Anadolu Group through its subsidiary Georgia Urban Energy with an investment of 200 million US dollars, and adds 410 million kilowatt-hours of generation a year. No plant of this capacity had been built in Georgia in the previous 35 years.
Transport for the guests was provided by WT Group’s transport company, today’s WT Service.
